In the midst of the current hip-hop beef between Rick Ross, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Metro Boomin, Future, and countless others that I likely left out, it's about time we asked ‘what happened to the fun in Hip-Hop'? 

With impeccable timing to say least, Kloud9Trizzy's latest EP ‘F.U.N’, which aptly stands for F*ck Unnecessary Negativity, is exactly what we need right now as hip-hop fans who miss "the fun” in hip-hop. 

So how fun is Kloud9Trizzy's ‘F.U.N.’ EP? Ultimately, I'll let you be the judge of that. But allow me highlight a few fun factors in this project if you will.

Fun Factor #1 Kloud9Trizzy's Cover Art is Creative To Say The Least

Kloud9Trizzy's attempt to paint the picture of what his version of “kloud 9 looks like" was well executed from inception to execution. The look of satisfaction on his face as he enjoys the peace of mind amongst the pink and white clouds, surrounded by colorful plastic cups with another of something good in his hand, embodies the state of mind one gets when they release negativity from their lives and embrace the art of being at peace. Fun Factor #2  Kloud9Trizzy The Charmer

Song: HMU (Hit Me Up)

‘Hit Me Up’ sets the tone for the  ‘F.U.N.’ EP by showcasing a side of Kloud9Trizzy that we've only seen in glimpses before: Kloud9Trizzy the Charmer. Reminiscent of ‘Into You’ by Fabulous (feat. Tamia), ‘Hit Me Up’ is the hip-hop love balled that this generation was missing until its arrival. Fun Factor #3 Surprise! This One Will Throw You Off.

Song: Gimmie Life

A good artist knows when they've come across a beat with a catchy bounce and Kloud9Trizzy clearly chose a winner with this one. No sooner from the time that you get hooked to the beat, a great artist like Kloud9Trizzy also knows how to give you lyrics that throw you off guard “…did he just say that?” you'll likely ask yourself in amusement. ‘Gimmie Life’ represents the Kloud9 effect of celebrating all the fun moments life has to offer, even the ones that catch you off guard. Fun Factor #4 This is An All American Vibe

Song: Diamond Park

You don't have to be a huge baseball fan to love this song, but it's certainly meant for you and the ones you care about the most, if you are. ‘Diamond Park’ beautifully balances the ‘F.U.N.’ EP with a song that captures how the low points of life can inspire us to keep pushing forward. Fun Factor #5 You'll Want To Get Up Out Your Chair For This One

Song: Spanish

'Spanish' builds up the momentum of the ‘F.U.N.’ EP with its upbeat tempo and story telling as Kloud9Trizzy paints the picture of his encounter with a beautiful Latina whose words put him in a trance while he debates whether her intentions will leave him in a bind.
